Military Groups
Kissimmee salutes members of our military, past and present, with an all-around destination for individuals, families, friends or Florida group travel of any variety. With so many things to do and see — including the world-famous theme and water parks, challenging golf courses, weekend Car Cruises and so much more — Kissimmee offers military personnel an ideal setting for having fun, making memories, reconnecting and spending quality time with family and friends. To help you plan and coordinate successful visits, contact the Kissimmee Convention & Visitors Bureau. We have the travel collateral and resources to help you select individual or group accommodations, dining and transportation options. We can also help you plan activities that will appeal to every member of your group, no matter how big or how small. As an added bonus, many area attractions, hotels and restaurants recognize active duty and retired military personnel and their dependent family members by offering special military discounts— and the Kissimmee CVB can help you find them.
Military groups and their families can have fun experiencing the legendary theme parks, such as Walt Disney World® Resort’s fantasy-filled Magic Kingdom ® Park, the innovations and world culture of Epcot®, the animal encounters of Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, and the movie immersion at Disney’s Hollywood Studios™.
They can also visit SeaWorld® Orlando, where they can take white-knuckled rides on the new Manta, a unique roller coaster known as Central Florida’s "first flying coaster." Additional choices include Universal® Orlando Resort, where they can “ride the movies,” and Universal's Islands of Adventure®, home to the new high-tech, multi-sensory Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.
If they want to relax under the Florida sun, military personnel can tee off on any of Kissimmee’s 12 beautiful and challenging golf courses — many created by legendary course designers, including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman and Rees Jones. If they’d like to take their golfing skills to the next level, they can attend one of Kissimmee’s three acclaimed golf academies, where they’ll learn from the pros.
