Kissimmee Florida Spring Training
We start singing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" a little earlier here in Florida. The sunflower seeds start flying and that familiar crack of the bat can be heard starting in February. It's time — it's Spring Training season. It's when the heart of Florida becomes baseball headquarters and major league teams come to town for Spring Training, a.k.a. the Grapefruit League. Spring Training games offer you a first glimpse of future stars and your favorite players as they tune up for the season. And with smaller, more intimate ballparks, you're right on top of all the action.
So make your vacation plans for Spring Training month in March and come out and join us at the ballpark. The Houston Astros have made Osceola County Stadium their Spring Training home since 1985. Osceola Stadium holds just over 5,200 fans, putting you so close to the action it's like you're in the game. Then after the last out, head to the stadium’s fan-friendly “Autograph Alley,” to meet your favorite players and get a signed memento of your memorable day.
No matter what team you root for, you may just see them competing against the Astros. With numerous Major League Teams, including the Atlanta Braves, who also train in Kissimmee, baseball fever is all around.
