Calm waves make for great swimming in the crystal clear waters all over Florida's Gulf Coast, and the white sand beaches of Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Sarasota make for a fun family beach vacation that’s just an easy day trip from Kissimmee. Other great beach destinations along the Florida West Coast include Fort de Soto Park in St. Pete and Caladesi Island and Honeymoon Island State Parks close to Dunedin.
