Calm waves make for great swimming in the crystal clear waters of Florida's Gulf Coast. The white powder sands of Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Sarasota make for a fun and easy day trip from Kissimmee.  Siesta Key, a small barrier island just off Sarasota, was named one of America's Top Ten Beaches for 2009. Other idyllic spots include Fort de Soto Park in St. Pete and Caladesi Island and Honeymoon Island State Parks near Dunedin.
