FHSAA Girls Weightlifting Volunteer Opportunities

The Kissimmee Convention & Visitors Bureau and Osceola County Schools are proud to be hosts of the Florida High School Athletic Association Girls Weightlifting Finals, February 10-11, 2012 at the Kissimmee Civic Center.  We anticipate approximately 1150 participants, coaches and spectators throughout the event.

As part of our host city responsibilities we are recruiting volunteers.  We need Team Kissimmee volunteers in key areas such as hospitality & media room, performance area and registration area. 

As a Team Kissimmee volunteer you will receive an official Team Kissimmee t-shirt, parking pass, and meals (when applicable).  You will also be enrolled in the Team Kissimmee Volunteer Program that will entitle you to earn prizes based on the number of hours worked.

Team Kissimmee training and credential distribution will take place Friday, 2/10, from approximately 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Kissimmee Civic Center.  You are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting.  If you do not, please make other arrangements to receive your credentials.

Volunteer Areas

Hospitality
-General host/hostess type duties such as:  greeting people, collecting meal tickets during meal times, making sure the area is kept neat.

Performance Area
-Assistance directing participants and spectators and monitoring the general flow of participants and spectators.
- Females to weigh competitors

Registration/Info Area

General registration duties will include checking in teams, handing out registration packets and wrist bands.
