Baseball
Every baseball field is a field of dreams, and many big and little dreams have come true on the fields of the Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee. The Spring Training Home of the Houston Astros, the stadium also welcomes many local, state, regional, and national championship tournaments each year. More than 1,000 games are played for the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) each year. USSSA’s national headquarters is located at the stadium complex. A lot of dreams especially take the field when the stadium hosts Fantasy Camps and Jim Evans Umpire Schools several times throughout the year.
For others those baseball dreams play out as the Houston Astros take on visiting opponents from the Florida Grapefruit League during Spring Training Season – St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees, Washington Nationals, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Mets, Florida Marlins, Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies.
For those attending or participating in tournaments or events at Osceola County Stadium there are lodging choices to fit every budget. For some fun off the field, all of the amazing recreational opportunities Central Florida has to offer are nearby, including Walt Disney World® Resort, Universal Orlando® Resort, and SeaWorld® Orlando.
