Softball

Softball is the most popular participant sport in the United States and is played, at some level, in more than a hundred countries around the world. Throughout the U.S. there are thousands of teams, men's, women's or co-ed, and skill levels range from novice to elite. Many league championship tournaments are played at Osceola County Softball Complex in Kissimmee, a three-time recipient of NSA’s national award for the Busiest and Best-Maintained Softball complex. It was the official Eastern training facility for the 2000 Olympic Gold Medal USA Women’s softball team.

There are numerous sanctioning bodies of softball, USSSA, ASA, ISA, NSA, WSL, just to name a few. The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA), headquartered in Kissimmee at the Osceola County Stadium, is the only association that still has a men's major slowpitch program.
